As the biggest forest product fair in Asia, the 2009 China Yiwu Forest Products Fair was opened on October 31, 2009 and finished on November hosted by State Forestry Bureau and Provincial People's Government of Zhejiang, which means it has become a national key forestry fair.

Moreover, more foreign purchasers and exhibitors attend China Yiwu International Forest Product Fair. 147 enterprises of 28 countries and territories like France, Australia, Canada, Brazil, etc. with 249 booths, account for 14.7% of the participating enterprises and 13.8% of the booths respectively. Over 5000 foreign purchasers are predicted to attend. The embassy officials of 10 countries, such as Congo, Tanzania, Ecuador, Mozambique, attended the opening ceremony of the fair.
In the fair, Onccc found that many purchasers are attracted by the Taiwan Specials Hall. The farming products displayed included wax apple, mango, dragon fruit, star fruit, tea, plant oil essence, rice, wheat, and some bamboo arts & crafts and so on.
One of the most eye-catching booth is the Tanzania Hall, whose ebony carvings chose the theme of wild animals in Africa, showed exotic flavor to attendants.
