【Instructions for Use】 1. Measure the bearing angle: a. Use the metal wire of the compass to align with a landmark on the ground (you can determine it yourself) such as a tree or a feature building marked on the map. b. Connect the landmark, the metal wire, and the concave surface of the lens to form a straight line. c. Read the angle between the long yellow line on the scale disk and the direction of the magnetic poles of the North (inner circle scale) to obtain the target bearing angle. 2. Determine your location on the map: a. Assume the landmark is a lighthouse. Using the above method, measure the bearing from your location to the lighthouse as being north by east 40 degrees. b. Place the compass on the map and move it so that the metal wire, the lighthouse (on the map), and the compass are aligned at a bearing of north by east 40 degrees. c. Your location is then where the line connecting the center of the compass and the lighthouse (on the map) lies.
