If the soil at the measurement point is too dry or has too much fertilizer, and it is impossible to measure the pH of the soil, you must first pour water on the measurement point, and then wait for 28 minutes before measuring.
Before using the measuring device, it is necessary to first use a grinding cloth to thoroughly wipe clean the area of the metal absorption plate to prevent any influence on the measurement results. If the device has not been used before, there may be a protective oil layer on the surface of the metal plate. It is necessary to insert the device into the soil several times to remove the protective oil layer before using it.
In the determination of pH value, the metal plate must be completely inserted into the soil at the test point. The correct value is obtained after about 10 minutes. The soil's density, moisture, and excessive fertilization may affect the measurement value, so it is necessary to measure several times at different locations to obtain an average value.
