1) Cut a standard SIM card into an iPhone 4 or 4S-compatible card or any other phone that uses a Micro SIM card.

2) Cut the Micro SIM card used by iPhone 4 and 4S into the Nano SIM card used by iPhone 5.

Note: To cut a standard SIM card to fit an iPhone 5, follow these two steps: SIM card -> mic SIM card -> nano SIM card. (When cutting the mic SIM into a nano card, be sure to pay attention to the direction and use a SIM card pin to adjust the card's position.)
