Instructions for use:
Open the small package, take out the tourniquet band, and gently press the clip on the lock valve of the tourniquet band. The valve clip will automatically pop out. Pull out the elastic band that is about 20–45 cm long, depending on the thickness of the patient’s upper arm. Then insert the valve clip back into the lock valve to form a circular band with a diameter of 7–11 cm. Put the circle around the patient’s upper arm where fluid (blood) is administered, and tighten the elastic band until it reaches the standard infusion position. Since the vein is compressed, blood flow is blocked, causing the vein to dilate. A infusion needle can be inserted at the dilated area. After completing the standard observation for the infusion, gently press the clip on the lock valve of the tourniquet band; the valve clip will automatically pop out. Release the tourniquet band and remove it. Then proceed with the regular infusion.
