Pallets Storage Rack Features and Basic Description:

1. Pallet rack systems have large spans and high load-bearing capacities. The span (length) of the pallet rack is mainly determined by the size of the pallet, and generally, one layer of rack can hold two standard pallets. If the single pallet's load is particularly large (over 3 tons), then each layer can only hold a single pallet.

2. Pallet rack structure is stable. Due to the high bearing requirements of pallet racks, there are special requirements for their stability. The bottom feet of pallet racks must be installed with expansion screws to ensure their stability.

3. Pallet rack does not require shelf boards. Generally, pallet racks do not require shelf boards, and only cross beams are installed on the beams, with two cross beams installed per pallet position. This can save costs to the greatest extent.

4. Pallet rack layer number can be determined according to the conditions. The number of layers of pallet racks can be determined according to the warehouse height and the height of each pallet position. The bottom layer can be without cross beams, and the pallets are directly placed on the ground.

Relative to pallet rack, the disadvantages include lower storage density and requiring more aisles. Pallet racks can be classified based on aisle width into traditional aisles, narrow aisles, and ultra-narrow aisles. This type of rack is suitable for storing goods with medium quantities and general batches. It is usually less than 6m high, and the number of layers should be between 3 to 5. In addition, it can be adjusted and combined arbitrarily, with simple construction and economical benefits. It is not affected by the sequence of inventory, and general forklifts can be used. When selecting a pallet rack, the size, weight, and number of layers of the storage units should be considered to determine the dimensions of the pillars and beams.
