Cashmere is a thin layer of fine wool that grows on the outer skin of goats and is hidden beneath the coarse hair at the root. It grows in the cold winter months to protect against the cold and falls off as the weather warms up in spring, naturally adapting to the climate. It is a rare special animal fiber. The value of cashmere is not only due to its rarity (only accounting for 0.2% of the world's total animal fiber production), but also to its excellent quality and characteristics. It is traded by the gram, and is considered a "fiber gem" and "fiber queen." It is unmatched by any of the textile raw materials that humans can use currently, and therefore is also known as "soft gold." About 70% of the world's cashmere production comes from China, and its quality also exceeds that of other countries.
