Test kit - Professional pH pen, pH test pen (professional temperature compensation design) The pH value has a absolute impact on aquatic ecology. Normal water contains appropriate oxygen and carbon dioxide. When the content of free carbon dioxide in the water decreases, aquatic plants will stimulate a biological calcium removal effect in the water to meet their needs. Aquatic plants use this effect to supplement the carbon dioxide they need from the carbon in bicarbonate. Under such abnormal changes, it may lead to an increase in pH to 9-10, which will have a serious adverse impact on the aquarium. Therefore, it is necessary to control the pH value in the water to achieve a stable carbonate hardness and the most ideal CO2 effective capacity, and maintain a certain pH value in the aquarium.

pH meter calibration:
1. Mix 6.86 grams of the calibration powder with 250ML of water (distilled water/purified water/neutral pH water is required, at room temperature), and gently shake it. Place the pen to detect the pH value of the solution. If the display shows 6.8, the pen is accurate.
2. If the display deviates from 6.8, adjust the calibration potentiometer (the small hole behind) with a small screwdriver until the display value matches the pH value of the standard buffer solution at the ambient temperature. For calibration of 4.0, simply calibrate the pen to 4.0. When calibrating, the pen should not be removed from the water surface.
Notes:
In the following circumstances, the pH meter must be recalibrated:
After calibration, it has been used (or placed) for a long time.
The electrode is used frequently.
The measurement accuracy requirement is high.
