Ingredients
  Bee wax is a complex compound. The main components of bee wax are esters formed by the combination of fatty acids and mono-alcohols, fatty acids, and sugars, but due to differences in bee species, nectar and pollen sources, and methods, its composition also varies to some extent.
"（1）Esters
 Fatty acid esters include monoesters and hydroxyesters, with a content of 70% to 75%. Among the monoesters, palmitic acid fern oil ester accounts for 23%, palmitic acid lac insect ester 2%, wax acid fern oil ester 12%, and pyrogallol palmitic acid fern oil ester 12%. Among the hydroxyesters, hydroxy palmitic acid wax alcohol ester accounts for 8% to 9%, diesters 9% to 9.5%, and acid esters 4% to 4.5%.
（2）Fatty acids
 The content of free fatty acids is 10% to 15%; the content of saturated fatty acids is 9% to 11%, including 3.3% to 4.4% of wax acid, 1% to 1.5% of lignoceric acid, 2% of abietic acid and fucus acid, 1.3% to 1.5% of jasmonic acid, and 1.5% of pyrogallolic acid, etc.
(3) Carbohydrates
 The content of sugar is 10% to 16%, and the saturated hydrocarbons are significantly characterized by chains of 15 to 31 carbon atoms, with 25-alkanes accounting for 0.3%, 27-alkanes 0.3%, 29-alkanes 1% to 2%, and 31-alkanes 8% to 9%. The main unsaturated hydrocarbons are 30-alkanes, accounting for 2.5%.
Other components in wax
  Bee wax contains pigments (mainly 1~3 dihydroflavonoids), W-myristicin, free fatty alcohols, etc. In addition, bee wax contains a small amount of water and minerals. The carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen elements in the bee wax ash account for 80%, 13%, and 7%, respectively.
