PVC glue is suitable for PVC pipe materials with a diameter of less than 300mm or medium-sized PVC sheet materials.
Applied in civil, industrial PVC pipe systems for drinking water, water treatment equipment, industrial pipelines, sports fields, agricultural irrigation, ventilation systems, and other fields.
1. Cut the pipe at a vertical plane and chamfer it by 10 to 15 degrees, removing the edge chips. Clean and dry the surfaces to be bonded.
2. Test the tightness of the combination of the pipe and the fittings. In normal circumstances, the pipe should easily insert into the fitting by 1/3 to 2/3, and there should be a sense of tightness.
3. Apply a layer of thick and even glue to the depth of the pipe tail equivalent to the pipe flange, and apply a medium thickness layer of glue inside the pipe. Avoid leaving too much glue inside the pipe to form a pool-like shape. Apply a second layer of glue on the pipe, so that the glue can completely fill the gaps at the interface.
4. When applying glue to the single-opening tube, avoid the glue from exceeding the depth of the mouth and preventing the glue from flowing into the mouth.
5. When the glue is still wet, immediately adhere. If it is not wet enough, reapply the glue and then adhere. When adhering, push the pipe material to the bottom of the pipe fitting with force, and simultaneously rotate the pipe material 1/8 to 1/4 turn as much as possible. To avoid rebound, hold for 30 seconds. Finally, wipe away any excess glue.
Pipes smaller than 2 inches (50 mm) can be moved after 5 minutes at 60°F (16°C) or above. Pipes that have been glued must wait at least 60 minutes before being pressed to 160 pounds per square inch (11.2 kg/cm²). If the pipe size exceeds 2 inches (50 mm) or the pressure is higher or the temperature is below 120°F (16°C), a longer drying time is required.
The following pipes can all be used with PVC glue:
