There are two types of grinding tools for the metal spindle: those with grooves and those without. The one with grooves is shown in the image below, featuring a small groove in the middle, which is used on some older sewing machines. The one without grooves lacks this small groove. By default, we ship the version without grooves. The without-groove version is compatible with the mini sewing machines we sell. If you intend to use it with other models, please request a groove, or contact customer service.
