Features: It is a special polyurethane product that fills the pressure-resistant aerosol can with components such as polyurethane pre-polymer, foam agent, and catalyst. When the material is sprayed from the aerosol can, the foam-like polyurethane material will rapidly expand and cure with the air or the moisture in the substrate to form foam. The cured foam has multiple effects such as filling gaps, bonding, sealing, insulation, and sound absorption. It is an environmentally friendly and energy-saving construction material that is convenient to use. It can be used for sealing leaks, filling gaps, fixing adhesives, insulation and sound insulation, especially for sealing leaks and water-proofing between plastic steel or aluminum alloy doors and windows and walls. The installation of finished door frames also requires the use of foam glue.
Usage Method
Take the foam gun and clean it with polyurethane cleaner to ensure unobstructed flow.
Take the foam adhesive again, firmly grip the middle of the can with both hands, and shake the can horizontally with force for at least 15-30 times, ensuring that the pre-polymer in the can is fully mixed;
Remove the protective cover from the valve of the gun-style foam adhesive thread ring, remove the cleaning agent from the foam gun, and install the foam agent canister body onto the interface of the foam gun along the thread;
Grip the handle of the foam gun firmly, ensure that the material tank is placed above, with the foam gun below the tank, and then open the flow regulation valve at the rear of the foam gun;
Point the nozzle of the foam gun at the bottom or inside of the object to be filled, gently pull the trigger to start the process. You can adjust the flow rate to the appropriate level by adjusting the flow regulator at the back of the foam gun.
After a can of foam is used up, if you need to refill, you can immediately remove the empty can and reinstall the foam agent in the same manner as Step 3 to continue the construction.
After the construction is completed, remove the material tank in time and replace it with a special cleaner to clean the foam gun to prevent the residual materials from curing and blocking the foam gun.
The method and steps for using tubular foam adhesive:
1. The same as the second step of the gun.
2. Then take a disposable rubber hose and screw it clockwise; ;
3. Ensure that the foam gun is placed below the foam tank, aiming at the bottom or inside of the area to be filled on the object. Gently pull the trigger to start the application.
4. Inject from bottom to top, and stop when the required filling volume reaches 80% (for tubular fillings, the volume is 2/3).
Use a little trick
When spraying, pay attention to the forward speed, usually spraying to the required filling volume of 2/3 is enough. When filling vertical cracks, it should be done from the bottom up; when filling cracks such as on the ceiling, due to the effect of gravity, unhardened foam may fall, it is recommended to support appropriately after just filling, wait until the foam cures and adheres to the crack wall before removing the support. About 10 minutes later, the foam detaches, and after 60 minutes, it can be cut. Use a knife to cut off the excess foam, and then apply water-cement mortar, paint or silicone on the surface.
Note: (1) The so-called front foam is when 80% of the foam has already been formed after the foam spray is ejected, and the subsequent foam formation is very small, which allows workers to easily control the force when using the foam gun, making it simple and convenient without wasting the adhesive, significantly saving costs. Back foam is when the adhesive becomes gradually thicker than when it is shot out, often several times thicker, which makes it difficult for workers to control the force when pulling the trigger, leading to waste of at least one-third of the adhesive. Additionally, the foam that expands after curing is prone to damage the doors and windows.
Use caution
A、Expanding foam is a wet-cure foam that should be sprayed on wet surfaces. The greater the humidity, the faster the curing. Unhardened foam can be cleaned with a cleaner, while hardened foam should be removed by mechanical methods (sandblasting or cutting). Hardened foam may yellow under UV light, so it is recommended to coat the surface of the hardened foam with other materials (cement mortar, paint, etc.). After using the spray gun, please immediately clean it with a special cleaner.
B. When replacing the material tank, shake the new tank well (at least 20 times), remove the empty tank, and quickly replace the new tank to prevent the nozzle connection from curing.
C、The flow control valve and trigger of the spray gun can control the size of the foam flow. When the spraying stops, close the flow valve clockwise.
Safety Precautions
Unset foam has a sticky effect on skin and clothing. Please do not touch your skin or clothing when using it. The foam container has a pressure of 5-6kg/cm2 (25℃). Please store and transport it carefully.The temperature during the process should not exceed 50°C to prevent the explosion of the tank. Foaming adhesive tanks should be avoided from direct sunlight and children should be strictly prohibited from contact. Empty tanks, especially those with partially used foaming adhesive, should not be discarded indiscriminately. It is prohibited to burn or puncture empty tanks. Stay away from open flame and do not come into contact with flammable and explosive items. Construction sites should have ventilation conditions, and construction personnel should wear work gloves, work clothes, and goggles. At the same time, do not smoke. If foam touches the eyes, please rinse with clean water and then go to the hospital for medical treatment; if it touches the skin, please rinse with clean water and soap.
Storage Instructions
The normal operating temperature of the foam container is +5～+40℃. The recommended use temperature is +18～+25℃. In low-temperature conditions, it is recommended to keep the product at a constant temperature of +25～+30℃ for 30 minutes before use to ensure its performance. The foam after curing is resistant to temperatures ranging from -35℃～+80℃. It is strictly prohibited to invert it, and it should be stored in a dry, shady, and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire sources and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30℃.
