This is not an ordinary buckle; it has more outdoor survival features. It is equipped with an outdoor life-saving flint, a high-precision mini compass, a cutting rope knife, a survival whistle, and a LED light.
How to use a flint to start a fire:
Step 1:
Hold the base edge of the magnesium block against the ground, use the sawtooth or blade included with this fire-starter to scrape off a small amount of magnesium shavings. Control the direction and force of the scraping to avoid creating sparks. Then, collect the scraped magnesium shavings into a small pile and place them near flammable materials (such as paper, leaves, twigs, bark, or the tinder and alcohol cotton provided by our store).
Step 2:
Hold the lower end of the flint stone at an angle of about 45 degrees against the ground, about 2.5 centimeters away from the magnesium scrap just scraped off. Use the blade to quickly scratch. In order to effectively scratch out sparks, the blade can be perpendicular to the scratching surface, which can cause sparks, thus igniting magnesium scrap, and then igniting the tinder such as paper, leaves, and alcohol cotton.
Step 3:
If there are combustible materials such as toilet paper, alcohol swabs, shredded leaves, or dry grass nearby, you can directly hold the lower end of the flint stone at about a 45-degree angle against the ground, use the scraping tool, survival card, or knife to quickly and forcefully scrape, allowing the sparks to land on the ignition material to start a fire.
The reliability of a firesteel has made it a good choice for outdoor experts, hunters, fishing enthusiasts, and campers. It is also a simple way to light stoves and propane grills in cabins or backyards. Surprisingly, it can even work in wet environments. Everyone will be happy to use such a convenient tool to start a fire.
