Lizards, commonly known as "four-legged snakes," are evenly distributed around the world and belong to the cold-blooded reptile class. Their variety is vast, with an estimated 3,000 species on Earth. There are approximately 150 known species in China, mostly distributed in tropical and subtropical regions. Their living environments are diverse, mainly terrestrial, with some species living in trees, semi-aquatic, and in burrows in the soil. Most feed on insects, but some species also eat plants.
