1. Keep the indoor clean and reduce dust as much as possible. Clean the surface of the toys frequently with clean, dry, and soft tools.
2. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and keep the inside and outside of the toy dry.
3. When cleaning, take necessary measures according to the size. For small toys, you can first use tape to cover the parts that are afraid of wear. Then, directly put the toys into the washing machine for gentle washing, spinning, and drying in a shady place until completely dry. Meanwhile, gently pat the toy to make its fur and filling fluffier and softer. For large toys, find the filling seam and cut the seam to remove the filling (polyester cotton). You can choose not to remove the special parts (better to maintain the appearance). Use tape to cover the parts that are afraid of wear. Clean and dry the outer skin, then put the filling into the toy skin, shape it, and sew it.
4. For furs/fabrics or dolls with high-tech electronics, speakers, or motors, always remove the electronic components (some are not waterproof) or batteries before washing to prevent water damage.
5. After the toy is cleaned and dried, use a clean comb or similar tool to comb the fur in the direction of the pelt to make it smooth and beautiful.
6. Check if the internal organs of plush toys are clean and hygienic. In substandard toy fillings, there are discarded plastics, fiber ropes, paper debris, and even the black heart cotton that is strictly prohibited by the country.
7. Twist the eyes, nose, and mouth of the plush toy to see if it is sturdy. If the small parts of the toy do not meet the national standards for tension, it is considered an inferior product.
8. In order to maintain good health, it is necessary to regularly disinfect and clean the plush toys.
9. A simple and effective method for sterilization and disinfection is to use a steam iron with a strong power to gently and repeatedly iron the fur. This also has a certain effect on killing bacteria and removing dirt.
10. The key to washing plush toys at home: For toys with fewer small parts, you can use 30-40°C warm water to hand wash or machine wash, using neutral laundry detergent. For long-haired plush toys, using cashmere laundry detergent will be better.
11. How to make toys less prone to dirt and extend their lifespan. When purchasing toys, do not discard the cardboard boxes or plastic bags, as they can be used for dust-proof packaging when storing. In areas with high humidity, to prevent toys from being affected by moisture, you can place dry agents when storing. For stuffed toys, try to avoid excessive accumulation to prevent deformation and damage.
