Instrument Precautions
(1) The metal probe of the instrument should not be inserted into the soil for too long, to prevent oxidation damage and damage to the probe surface. After measurement, the soil particles on the metal probe surface must be promptly cleaned with a scrubber.
(2) Make sure the metal probe is clean and dry before storing the instrument.
(3) The probe should be kept away from other metallic materials;
(4) When inserting the instrument into the soil: be sure to press down in a clockwise direction to embed it in the soil for measurement, ensuring that the soil is in close contact with the metal probe. Remember not to rotate the instrument back and forth while inserting it into the soil; otherwise, the metal probe may loosen, the connection wires may break, causing damage and rendering measurement impossible.
(5) The instrument is only used for measuring soil moisture. Both excessive and insufficient humidity can significantly affect the accuracy of pH measurement. It is recommended to measure the soil moisture within the range of 30%-60% for more accurate pH values.
