A few days ago, the 4th Ethnic Minority Sports Meeting of Yiwu City was held at the Ethnic Minority Sports Center and participated in by over 400 athletes from 22 teams of various ethnic minorities, democratic parties, united front organizations, religious circles, and national unity demonstration units. Dong Liming, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department, announced its opening.

Yiwu is an open, inclusive, and vibrant city, where there live more than 140 thousand ethnic minority compatriots covering 53 ethnic compositions. The Ethnic Minority Sports Meeting is beneficial to boosting the development of ethnic minority sports cause in Yiwu, advocating an active, healthy, and civilized lifestyle, and showing the new energetic and promising look of united front.

It was learned that the Sports Meeting was set with such interesting competitive events as Five Persons Wearing Wooden Slippers, Wheel-rolling Obstacle Relay Race, Hopscotch, Tug of War, etc. After fierce competition, the First, Second, and Third Group Awards finally went to Non-Party Intellectuals' Sodality Team, Female Merchants' Sodality Team, New Classes' Sodality Team, Team of the Yiwu Committee of Jiusan Society, Team of China Association for Promoting Democracy Yiwu General Branch, and Team of the Yiwu Grassroots Committee of Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, respectively.
