Starting New Energy Vehicle Project
On September 9, Jia Wenhong, deputy mayor of Yiwu, announced the start of the second stage of the project of new energy vehicles of British Motors Limited (BML) in Yiwu. Together with representatives of the company, Lin Mingshi, general manager of BML in Zhejiang Province, was present at the opening ceremony.
The launch of the second stage of the project indicates that vehicle production has reached a new level, with more advanced and intelligent workmanship, more environment-friendly production, and with an output of hundreds of thousands vehicles.
The project is having a positive impact on the development and upgrading of the strategic emerging industries and strengthening the industrial chain of motor vehicles. After the start of the second stage, the project will have an annual research and development production scale of 100,000 new energy vehicles, focusing on six vehicle types, which include the TX5 series passenger vehicles, transport vehicles, and light multi-purpose vehicles. With 4500 jobs provided, the project is boosting the value of the industrial chain toward reaching 81 billion RMB.
