Yiwu Introduces 17 New Policies for Purchasers
Post Time: 2020-02-27
In addition to existing preferential policies for international purchasers, such as air ticket subsidies and free accommodation, on February 22, the Yiwu Municipal Party Committee and the Yiwu government released new favored policies for both domestic and international purchasers inYiwu—“Several Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of the Team of Purchasers (Trial).”
The “Opinions” includes 17 measures in three major areas: government services, business services, and public services, aiming to construct an advantage for purchasers by providing greater efforts, more preferential policies, and better services.
Tailored to the characteristics of purchasers in Yiwu, the new policies cast off restrictions on education, qualifications, and professional titles. Instead, the government will give quantitative scores to domestic and international enterprises and individuals that are engaged in commodity purchase in Yiwu based on six indicators, including purchase
amount, tax amount, and corporate credit. A number of gold-medal and silver-medal purchasers will be voted on and determined according to the scores each year, and they will receive corresponding favored polices. (By Gong Xiyan, translated by Shen Yingying, edited by Mariam Ayad)
