In January 2020, under the guidance of the China-Africa Civil Chamber of Commerce and the Yiwu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, some companies with African trade relations, including those on supporting logistics, international trades and exhibition, together established Yiwu China-Africa Chamber of Commerce. There are now 160 member companies. In response to the recent call by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to invite overseas purchasers to come to Yiwu, the Chamber of Commerce actively sorted various resources from member companies and contacted African buyers through various channels.
The Yiwu China-Africa Chamber of Commerce plans to invite more than 100 African purchasers, which is expected to be thoroughly arranged at the end of March. There are now more than 40 of them setting a visit date. In addition, the Chamber of Commerce also cooperates with Zhejiang China Commodities City Group, aiming for nearly 100 enterprises to enter the Rwanda Exhibition Hall of the Group.
