More than 300 employees in Yiwu, a county-level city in East China's Zhejiang province have in the past two years passed their Chief Quality Officers (CQOs) certifications during training sessions organized by local market supervision authorities.
More than 40 percent of above-designated-size companies in the city have obtained the training certificate for CQOs in industries such as textile and clothing, jewelry and toys, official statistics show.
The local government hopes these quality management personnel will help local small and medium-sized company improve competitiveness by creating a corporate culture focused on quality, according to Luo Qinghua, an official at the Yiwu Market Supervision Bureau.
Next, the city will establish communication platforms for CQOs and organize more training sessions to improve their skills.
