As Asian Games draws closer, Yiwu Customs has established an "Asian Games Commodity Clearance Window" to provide specialized consultation services and risk assessment for businesses looking to import or export goods related to the event, local media reported on May 9.
One company that has already taken advantage of this opportunity is Zhejiang Kingston Supply Chain Group, which has established a warehouse in the Yiwu Comprehensive Bonded Zone to store and distribute official coffee products designated for the Asian Games.
According to Li Xiaohui, a staff member of Kingston, the company's sales volume is growing rapidly, with an estimated 15 cargo containers to be shipped in May alone. To meet this demand, the company has optimized its warehouse layout to store more products efficiently.
To ensure timely and efficient clearance of Asian Games-related goods, Yiwu Customs has implemented pre-approval and appointment clearance procedures, as well as increased staff overtime for inspections and releases.
"Since the beginning of this year, we have arranged for customs officers to work overtime to handle the clearance of Asian Games-related goods," said Wang Dejuan, an officer of Yiwu Customs.
