Yiwu Deputy Mayor Luo Zupan led a delegation from the municipal government on a visit to Munich, Duisburg, and Frankfurt, Germany from June 15 to June 17.
The delegation participated in a series of official visits, business exchanges, and on-site research activities.
On June 15, Luo Zupan and his team attended the Munich Photovoltaic Exhibition to explore the latest developments in the global photovoltaic industry. The Munich Solar Photovoltaic Exhibition is the world's largest professional exhibition and trade fair for solar energy, attracting nearly 2,500 exhibitors from 57 countries and regions.
As a major industrial city, Yiwu has witnessed rapid development in emerging industries such as optoelectronics, photovoltaics, automotive power, and semiconductors. Six of the world's top 10 photovoltaic companies operate in Yiwu, making it the largest photovoltaic component manufacturing base in China with a global market share of over 20 percent.

On June 16, Luo held discussions with local authorities of Duisburg to discuss the economic and social development of the two cities. They reached a consensus on strengthening logistics cooperation, conducting youth exchanges, and promoting intercity relations.
During the visit, the delegation also inspected the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe Germany Branch and the Frankfurt China Trade Center, where they discussed the overseas sales of Yiwu’s small commodities, the overseas layout of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight service, and the construction of overseas warehouses.
