On March 11, 26 enterprises from Yiwu, which participated in the 2024 Seoul E-commerce Expo in South Korea, returned to Yiwu with fruitful results.
From March 7 to 9, the 2024 Seoul E-commerce Expo took place at the Seoul Exhibition Center, where 26 Yiwu companies showcased a diverse range of products across 29 booths. The enterprises received more than 340 intention orders totaling over 8 million yuan ($1.11 million) and 49 on-site transactions amounting to nearly 3 million yuan.
Zhejiang Fengpei Pet Supplies Co Ltd saw promising results, especially with face-to-face introductions of their products. Zhang Xuelin, the company owner, noted the significant impact of direct interactions with customers, leading to bulk purchases of new items. Several clients have expressed interest in visiting Yiwu to explore more products firsthand.
Moreover, the Zhejiang China Commodities City Group and South Korea's G&G Commerce signed a cooperation agreement during the expo, aiming to establish a Yiwu Good Products (South Korea) Exhibition Hall. This initiative is meant to showcase Yiwu's high-quality products in South Korea and facilitate trade connections, making it a strategic move to broaden market channels.
Yiwu's strong economic ties with South Korea, evidenced by deepening collaborations in various sectors, have resulted in a positive trend in bilateral trade and cultural exchanges. In 2023, the total value of trade between Yiwu and South Korea amounted to 8.94 billion yuan.
