A Yiwu delegation's participation in the UCLG ASPAC Executive Bureau meeting in Indonesia from June 3 to 7 marked a significant step in international cooperation and urban development.
The event, focusing on sustainable tourism and creative economies, drew over 250 delegates from 10 countries, highlighting Yiwu's commitment to global development and governance.
Yiwu, which became a member of the UCLG ASPAC Executive Bureau last year and initiated the Logistics Committee, showcased its sustainable and green development strategies. He Kuan, a government representative from Yiwu, shared insights on sustainable growth while maintaining economic and trade expansion.
The UCLG ASPAC Logistics Committee, established by Yiwu, aims to foster dialogue, share trade opportunities, and promote sustainable economic growth. It has attracted founding members from various countries.
During the meeting, the Yiwu delegation organized events to discuss the committee's role in enhancing trade and logistics cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. They also sought support for the upcoming UCLG ASPAC Logistics Committee Congress and exchanged experiences with other cooperation committees.
In addition to the meeting, the Yiwu delegation conducted trade exchanges in Jakarta, visiting the Chinese Embassy to discuss Yiwu's economic development. The delegation's efforts underscored Yiwu's role as a bridge between China and Indonesia, fostering economic ties and shared prosperity.
