With the same pure and bright feelings spanning thousands of miles, today of the year is the most distinct. From September 13th to 14th, the 2024 World Yiwu People's Conference was held by the beautiful Xingfu Lake. Over 400 renowned Yiwu natives from all over the world, heads of listed companies, industry leaders, as well as representatives of high-level talents, representatives of chambers of commerce and associations from both inside and outside the province, overseas Chinese businessmen, and both new and old Yiwu people, along with leaders and guests, gathered together. Centering on the theme of "Sharing New Opportunities, Advancing on a New Journey, and Recreating New Glories," they gathered to share their "hometown sentiments," discuss "hometown affairs," and draw a "common circle" through the format of "keynote conference + special events."

In his keynote speech, Wang Jian, the secretary of the Yiwu Municipal Party Committee, introduced that in 2023, Yiwu's GDP exceeded 200 billion yuan, ranking in the top ten of the province; exports surpassed 500 billion yuan, exceeding 21 provinces nationwide; express delivery business volume exceeded 10 billion items; the balance of deposits and loans exceeded 1 trillion yuan; and urban and rural residents' income ranked first nationwide for 17 consecutive years. This year, Yiwu has continued to maintain rapid growth, with GDP ranking ninth in the province in the first half of the year, and the growth rate ranking second among the top 17 provinces. From January to July, exports surpassed those of Anhui and Henan, exceeding 23 provinces nationwide; the total number of market operators exceeded 1.1 million, ranking first in counties nationwide; and six works received positive incentives from the provincial government in 2023, the largest number in the province.
