The latest foreign trade figures for Zhejiang Province were released today: From January to November, Zhejiang's total import and export value reached RMB 4.81 trillion, up 6.9% year-on-year. Among them, exports amounted to RMB 3.57 trillion, an increase of 9.0%, and imports totaled RMB 1.24 trillion, up 1.2%. Zhejiang ranks third, second, and fifth nationwide in terms of total import and export, exports, and imports, respectively. As of now, the province's export scale has surpassed the level for the entire year of last year, and its growth rate continues to lead major eastern coastal provinces and cities.
In the production workshop of Jinhua Wuyi Apollo Sports Technology Co., Ltd., seven assembly lines are operating at full capacity. After debugging and assembly, 12,000 electric off-road motorcycles are being shipped to the United States.
Ye Yang, the Marketing Director of the company, introduced that the export sales have exceeded RMB 300 million since the beginning of this year. "Our production schedule for orders has been arranged beyond next year's Spring Festival. Our main export markets are Europe and the United States, as well as Australia. The major growth point this year is in children's racing motorcycles. We have transitioned from traditional gasoline motorcycles to electric ones, which have been very popular in the European and American markets."
Since the beginning of this year, Zhejiang has maintained relatively rapid growth in imports and exports with its major trade partners. From January to November, imports and exports with the European Union, ASEAN, and the United States all exceeded RMB 670 billion, collectively accounting for 43% of the province's total import and export value. Imports and exports with the United States and Latin America both grew by more than 12%, and imports and exports with Brazil increased by more than 20%.
Mechanical and electrical products, as well as labor-intensive products, were the main drivers of exports. From January to November, the province exported mechanical and electrical products worth RMB 1.65 trillion, with a growth rate exceeding 10%. In particular, general machinery and equipment, household appliances, and automotive parts stood out. Exports of labor-intensive products increased by 8.9%, with plastic products, furniture, and toys leading the way.
