At the regular press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) on the same day, He Yongqian introduced the key work and progress made by MOFCOM in promoting the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade since the beginning of this year.

According to the introduction, in terms of facilitating the convergence of rules and regulations for domestic and foreign trade, MOFCOM leveraged the role of the inter-ministerial working mechanism for promoting the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade and collaborated with relevant departments to refine work measures, focusing on the convergence of standards and certification and optimizing the development environment, to promote the orderly implementation of 95 key tasks. For example, efforts have been made to actively convert advanced and applicable international standards, and to date, the conversion rate of international standards has exceeded 83%.

In addition, MOFCOM has deepened the pilot work on the integration of domestic and foreign trade by organizing nine pilot regions to actively take the lead in trials and have completed 80% of the pilot tasks, forming a batch of successful experiences, with 10 typical cases replicated and promoted nationwide; over 30 supply and demand matching activities have been organized across the country to support high-quality foreign trade products to enter supermarkets, business districts, and e-commerce platforms; and policy support has been enhanced by promoting the issuance of the "Opinions on Leveraging the Role of Domestic Trade Credit Insurance to Help Improve the Level of Integration of Domestic and Foreign Trade," providing more safeguards for foreign trade enterprises to conduct domestic sales business.
