The spring tide is surging, and all creatures are striving to grow. Yesterday (February 8th), the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center was filled with a wave of enthusiasm for diligent work. Inside the center, container trucks loaded with goods shuttled back and forth, warehouses were neatly stacked with cargo, and workers skillfully packed and boxed items. Outside the center, vehicles loaded with packages drove out of the park and, after transit and distribution, were delivered promptly to consumers across the country. According to the latest statistics from the General Administration of Customs, the total import value of the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center reached 10.22 billion yuan in 2024, ranking third among the 84 bonded logistics centers nationwide for four consecutive years.
In recent years, staying open during the Spring Festival has become a standard feature for enterprises engaged in cross-border bonded business. This year, several enterprises within the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center, including Yiwu Ouyi Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ouyi Supply Chain"), chose to remain open during the Spring Festival. "Beep, beep, beep!" In the warehouse of Ouyi Supply Chain's Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center, delivery riders were busy scanning, weighing, collecting, and loading packed cross-border bonded packages. Nearby, staff were busily packing cans of baby formula, bottles of health supplements, and other items into shipping boxes, with an average of 5,000 to 8,000 packages being shipped out of the warehouse daily to various parts of the country.
Before the festival, the entire warehouse's four-story shelves were filled with goods. After the festival, the shelves were almost sold out, and recently, intensive replenishment efforts were underway, especially for baby formula and health supplements, which were transported from Australia, Germany, and the United States via "sea freight + China-Europe Train" to ports or railway stations. Currently, seven or eight containers have been successively stored in the warehouse. "Since moving into the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center, our bonded warehousing area has increased from 300 square meters to the current 10,000 square meters, and our product range has expanded from 300 SKUs to the current 8,000 SKUs, covering health supplements, personal care and beauty products, mother and baby supplies, etc. The average daily order volume has increased by a hundredfold," said Jiang Chengdong, the person in charge of Ouyi Supply Chain.
"Currently, the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center serves as a large transit station, providing customers with convenient transshipment channels," said the relevant person in charge of the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center. Goods imported through the Zhejiang China-Europe Train (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe) enter the center, and after customs supervision, they are transported out of the country via sea-railway intermodal transportation or road transportation to countries and regions such as Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. In addition, goods from various special supervision zones in the Yangtze River Delta are transported to the center by road, and after customs supervision, they are then transported to Eurasia via the Zhejiang China-Europe Train (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe), achieving "two-way travel."
In recent years, the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center has fully leveraged its hub and node advantages to strengthen the coordinated development of "Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe + Bonded Logistics Center" and utilized the return trains of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route to establish logistics channels with ports, logistics parks, and other provinces and cities, conducting import and export business of bulk cargo. In 2024, a total of 3,300 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) of goods with a total value of 1.9 billion yuan were imported through the Zhejiang China-Europe Train (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe). In addition, the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center actively builds an RCEP imported goods distribution center and strengthens the efforts to distribute imported goods from RCEP countries through both general trade and cross-border e-commerce channels at the center.
