 Parachute is a deployable aerodynamic decelerator that inflated and expands by relying on the principle of air resistance. Modern parachutes are a type of aviation equipment that allows people or objects to safely descend from the air to the ground. They are mainly made of flexible fabric. Experimental Purpose:
Parachutes are commonly known as "safety parachutes." They are widely used in the aerospace field, with their main purpose being:
Parachute
（1）Emergency life-saving. Mainly used to save the lives of pilots in the event of an aircraft accident;
(2) Stabilizing function. Maintaining the attitude stability of the ejection seat of the aircraft and the refueling nozzle of the aerial refueling tanker.
(3) Deceleration effect. The braking deceleration during aircraft landing and the airborne deceleration of various aerial bombs with parachutes. Parachutes can shorten the aircraft landing roll from over 2,000 meters to 800-900 meters;
Recovery function. Used for the recovery of aircraft in the air, such as unmanned aircraft, test missiles, rocket booster, high-speed detectors, and returnable spacecraft. Also, the recovery of equipment on spacecraft and hot air balloon detectors;
(5) Parachute and airdrop operations. Paratroopers parachute jumps, as well as the airdrop of various supplies and weapons;
(6) Aeromodelling. Activities such as skydiving, hillside gliding, hang gliding, powered flight, and towed flight.
Experiment Report:
Aerodynamics, the pressure per unit area is proportional to the cubic of airflow speed. So when opening a parachute, its area is fixed. During the descent (relatively speaking, it can be understood as air blowing up at the parachute's descent speed), the lift is related to the cubic of the descent speed. When the parachute is first opened, the speed is very fast. The faster the descent speed, the greater the lift (air resistance).
