Martin Margiela's Sailing Day |||🌟maison margiela (Martin Margiela) has now truly become a perfume brand that is known by everyone, thanks to its simple bottle design and the stories behind each bottle of perfume, which makes it hard not to like. Today, I would like to share with you a perfume from Martin that I particularly like - Sailing Day.
Top note: Sea water, Aldehyde, Coriander, Sweet pepper
Medium: Iris, Juniper, Rose, Salicylic Acid Pentyl Ester
Top note: Seaweed, Ambrox, Amberwood, Cedar
Indeed, Libra is a big fan of looks. When I saw the sailing day, I was instantly drawn to its blue hue, which is so beautiful! A blue perfume that aligns with my aesthetic, how could I not bring it home?
The top notes are definitely aquatic, with a scent reminiscent of water. However, compared to other aquatic scents, it also includes aldehydes, which neutralizes the salty and fishy odor of the sea. When the floral notes slowly emerge in the middle, the layers of the perfume are enhanced, but it doesn't feel too sweet. As the perfume stays on the skin, the woody notes gradually appear, giving me a sense of surprise.
The overall feeling of the nautical day is still very refreshing, reducing the salty and fishy taste of the ocean, but adding floral and woody notes, making the overall fragrance have a rich sense of depth. My friend said it was a bit like Hermès's Baigneur, but I personally think it fits my perfume aesthetic more than Baigneur. Spraying it in summer, it must be the refreshing but not lost in the crowd of exquisite little cuties on the street!
