Product Features:
This product has good characteristics of breathability, water permeability, and root penetration. After multiple air rooting, lateral roots shorten in length, but the number increases in grades. Once the seedlings are planted in the soil, the callus tissue in contact with the soil will immediately absorb water and grow a large number of new roots. The seedlings cultivated using this product's seedling technology do not roll roots, have no slow seedling period, have high survival rates, good quality seedlings, strong resistance, and other characteristics, and significantly improves work efficiency.
Before using the seedling blocks, it is only necessary to fully absorb water, and the seedling blocks can expand and rebound to a loose and porous state. When planting, you can simply sow the germinated seeds directly into the seedling blocks or place the small seedlings in them. When the small seedlings grow up, you can directly move the entire seedling block into a large pot or field. It can be widely used for sowing seedlings, tissue culture seedlings, and cutting seedlings of fruits, vegetables, flowers, medicinal materials, and forest crops. It is especially suitable for seedling production in areas lacking excellent substrates, such as salt-alkali, wind-sand, and arid regions.
High-quality, standard, stable, and professional culture medium. It can be transplanted without pot removal and planted directly. The unique mesh design makes it convenient for the transportation and transplantation of seedlings, preventing them from falling apart. Peat moss is used as the raw material, which is environmentally friendly and fully degradable; it is convenient for transplanting and planting operations, improving efficiency and transplanting success rates.
The application of mesh compressed peat seedling blocks
Usage Method:
1. Place the seedling blocks into a small container that can hold water.
Pour water over the seedling block to cover it completely.
3. As the seedling blocks continue to expand, timely supplement water.
4. Embed the seed in the middle of the seedling block, making sure it is completely covered by the substrate. The depth of the seed should be two times the diameter of the seed, depending on the size of the seed. For very small seeds, such as petunia, you can just put them on the surface, and then spray them again with a sprayer after sowing.
5. It can be used with seedling trays and cell packs; even directly placing several seedling blocks in a large pot can directly seedling, super simple!
1. Preparation of seedbed: Before sowing or transplanting, level and compress the seedbed, and cover it with water-impermeable plastic film to prevent water leakage and root penetration. The bed edges of the plastic film should be about 5 cm high to prevent water from leaking laterally during irrigation. Special attention: The leveling of the seedbed is the primary condition for ensuring that each nutrient pot uniformly absorbs water. The nutrient pots should be arranged in rows on the seedbed, with a 0.5 cm gap between 3 cm nutrient pots and a 1 cm gap between 3.5-5 cm nutrient pots, to ensure that the irrigation water flows smoothly. We recommend using the "Zhong Ci" brand plastic seedling tray, which is specially designed for nutrient pot seedling cultivation. The product specifications are 40cm×40cm×4cm, with uniform water absorption, water-saving and fertilizer-preserving, and convenient transportation when transplanting. Each tray can hold 121 nutrient pots Φ3cm, 100 nutrient pots Φ3.5cm, 81 nutrient pots Φ4cm, 64 nutrient pots Φ4.5cm, and 49 nutrient pots Φ5cm.
2. Calculate the total water requirement based on 8 times the weight of each pot, adding water slowly to the bed surface. Once the pot absorbs water, it will quickly rebound, and the pot will swell after absorbing water. There is no need to fill the gaps between the pots with soil to maintain ventilation and water permeability, preventing the roots from spreading and entangling.
3. Sowing: (Please use sterile and non-toxic seeds) After the nutrient pot absorbs water and expands the next day, place the germinated seeds or seedlings into the holes of the nutrient pots that have been drilled.
4. Covering material: Most seedlings of crops need to be covered after sowing to meet the environmental conditions required for seed germination and ensure normal germination and emergence. The materials that can be used for covering include coarse vermiculite, pearl rock, and wood ash. After being broken, the nutrient pots can also be used as covering materials after seed sowing. The covering material cannot be too little, or it will lose the meaning of covering the seed. The covering material cannot be too much or too thick, otherwise the seeds will be buried too deep. If there is too much water, poor ventilation, etc., the seeds will rot over time. The thickness of the soil covering should be determined according to the size of the seed, the type of germination, the planting season, and the covering material. The thickness of the soil covering is 1-3 times the transverse diameter of the seed, but for fine seeds, it should be less than the seed.
5. Light: Provide sufficient light to the germinated seeds in time; in summer, when the temperature is too high and the light is too strong, shade should be provided to avoid harm to plant growth from high temperature and strong light.
6. Temperature: Seed germination and growth require appropriate temperatures. The temperature during the seedling stage should be controlled at 20-30°C, depending on the variety of the crop.
7. Water Management: Water management is one of the key factors that determine the success of seedling production. The general principle of water management is: "dry and wet". When the pot is slightly dry but not completely dry, water it thoroughly. This can meet the rapid growth of the seedlings' water needs, and it will not affect the growth of the seedlings due to the pot's excessive dryness or moisture.
8. Fertilization: The pot already contains a certain amount of nutrients, and usually no additional fertilization is needed within one week of the seedling stage. If you want to cultivate larger seedlings, you need to apply appropriate top dressing in a timely manner. It is recommended to use diluted fertilizer water to combine with water supplementation for top dressing.
9. Seedling hardening: Seedlings should be hardened before transplanting. During the hardening process, strengthen light exposure and ventilation, and moderate water control.
