The full length of the special-shaped file and shaping file is the specification size. The basic size of file mainly includes width and thickness. For round file, it refers to its diameter.

File number-indicates the parameter of the file tooth thickness. According to the number of main file lines per 10mm axial length, five types are divided into No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 respectively. The smaller the file size, the thicker the file teeth.
