This discovery made him extremely excited. He also made the shape he invented now barbed wire. Glidden put the thorn in a temporary coffee bean grinding tool, and then twisted the thorn along the smooth wire and another wire around the thorn to fix the position.

after Glidden's successful invention, it has continued to today's more than 570 barbed wire patent inventions. It is "one of the inventions that change the face of the world".
