It was learned from the Postal Administration of Yiwu that during Jan. -- Aug., 2018, the postal and express business volume of Yiwu reached 1,612 million pieces, with a year-on-year growth of 55.55%, and the business income exceeded RMB 7 billion, reaching RMB 7.945 billion (excluding the direct operating income of Postal Savings Bank), with a year-on-year growth of 10.53%. In the rankings of cities, Yiwu moved ahead of Beijing and Hangzhou and took the 4th place.

From Jan. to Aug. this year, the business volume of domestic parcels was 1,559 million pieces, with an accumulated year-on-year growth of 59.46%, higher than the national growth rate of 27.2%; in the same period, the domestic express business income was RMB 7.128 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 10.29%.

The cross-border e-commerce business income achieved steady increase. During Jan. -- Aug., the cross-border express business income of Yiwu reached RMB 817 million, with a year-on-year growth of 12.64%. The business volume of International Mail Exchange Office also rose steadily. During Jan. -- Aug., the accumulated handling volume of the Office was 32,639.3 thousand pieces, with a year-on-year growth of 18.14%, among which the handling volume of imports was 77.2 thousand pieces and that of exports was 32,562.1 thousand pieces.
