YICC Holds Int'l Conference on Trust

    On September 6, the “Trust: Yiwu and Trans-Asian Commercial Networks” international conference, was held at Yiwu Industrial and Commercial College (YICC). Duo Jia, member of the Standing Committee of the Yiwu Municipal Party Committee and deputy mayor, attended the event. In addition, more than 100 people attended the conference, including experts and scholars from universities at home and abroad, like University of Sussex, Cambridge University, Royal Holloway College at University of London, University of Copenhagen, University of International Business and Economics, and Zhejiang University; representatives from related departments at the Yiwu government; foreign trade enterprises; Yiwu Innovation Institute; Yiwu Businessmen Think Tank; and representatives of international businessmen.

    He Shaoqing, member of the YICC Party Committee and vice president, delivered a speech on behalf of the school. He warmly welcomed the guests and introduced the internationalization of the college in recent years. He also reviewed the college's cooperation and exchanges with the UK research team for a project called “Yiwu—An International City in China: Trust, Goods, and International Traders,” and wished the conference a complete success.
