In recent years, with the rise of the Chinese trend and the wellness craze, Chinese-style fragrances have become the "favorite" of many consumers due to their unique sensory experience and cultural charm. Some ancient incense recipes have even entered the lives of the general public through modern industrial technology.
A wisp of blue smoke curls and spreads, gradually filling the entire room with fragrance. In recent years, Chinese incense sticks have emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments within the fragrance category. By modernizing and improving ancient incense recipes, market acceptance has significantly increased, leading to a surge in sales of related products.
The popularity of Chinese-style fragrances has placed higher demands on perfumers. Zhang Fan, a perfumer with over 10 years of experience who has worked with nearly a thousand spice formulas, told reporters that in the past two years, Chinese spices such as cyperus rotundus, osmanthus, gardenia, and mugwort have been increasingly used in formulas, creating a unique Chinese aesthetic of scent.
Perfumer Zhang Fan said, "In the past three to four years, the market seems to have suddenly become very receptive to fragrances with Chinese aesthetics and Chinese incense-making elements, and the growth rate has been particularly fast."
Not only Chinese incense sticks but also domestically produced perfumes have entered a period of rapid development. Industry insiders told reporters that in the past, overseas brands accounted for more than 70% of the domestic perfume market, but this year, many domestically produced perfumes have emerged as a new growth point in the market.
