Affordable rental housing is an important guarantee for supporting urban development and addressing housing difficulties for new citizens and young people. On December 12th, reporters learned from the Yiwu Construction Bureau that as of now, Yiwu has cumulatively constructed and raised 62,000 affordable rental housing units, of which 43,000 units have been put into use, benefiting 74,000 people. This ranks first in Jinhua and among the top in the province.

"This community looks good. I'd like to visit the show flat," said Xiao Wu, a new resident of Yiwu, after carefully reviewing the floor plans of Yiwu's first large-scale affordable rental housing community, Jiantou Puyu. It is reported that Puyu is located at the intersection of Kaiyuan North Street and Datong Road in Niansanli Street, and is an affordable rental housing project developed and constructed by Yiwu Jiantou Group. It consists of six high-rise buildings with 15 to 17 floors and will be officially opened for use in the near future.

Since the beginning of this year, Yiwu has continued to make efforts in providing "affordable and livable housing", innovating the development model of affordable rental housing, and taking a solid path towards sustainable development to promote high-quality development of affordable rental housing. Among them, the cases of Hengfeng Chengxi Passenger Transport Station using inefficient non-residential land to construct affordable rental housing, and Chunhua Micro Valley Industrial Park organically combining the construction of affordable rental housing with the elimination of economically underdeveloped villages to achieve win-win development, have been included in the sixth batch of replicable and promotable experience lists for the development of affordable rental housing by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
