Wool brushes are widely used in the decoration and finishing industry. High-quality wool brushes have a high paint content and good leveling properties, allowing paint to be applied evenly to achieve a smooth, uniform surface with no brush marks or bristle marks on the painted surface. They also provide a smooth handling experience during application and are durable.

Proper use of the wool brush:When using water-soluble coatings, wet the brush with water before application; when using oil-based coatings, wet the brush with alcohol.BrushRemove any excess liquid, keeping the brush dry but not wet. This allows the brush to absorb the paint better and facilitate painting.

One-third to one-half of the bristles should be immersed in the paint, and gently pressed against the inner side of the paint container to squeeze out any excess paint. During application, the brush and the surface being painted should maintain an angle of approximately 45 degrees, with appropriate pressure applied to cause slight bending of the bristles. After each application, lift the brush lightly; the brush marks should be long and flat. To prevent excess paint from being applied, apply the paint from the unpainted areas toward the already painted areas. When applying paint to wood, it should be done along the grain of the wood.

Finally, gently brush along the application direction with a brush to obtain a smooth, plump, and shiny coating.

Cleaning and maintenance of wool brushes:The paint brush should be cleaned promptly before the paint dries after use. Use the appropriate solvent to clean solvent-based coatings, and mild cleaning solution for water-soluble coatings. Strong solvents can also damage the bristles; do not stand the brush vertically on paint or water, and do not soak the brush in water. After cleaning, place the brush flat or hanging, ensuring the bristles remain straight.
