When the air compressor is operating, the pressure switch’s two contacts are in a closed state. Compressed air enters the switch terminals and the vent valve from the air reservoir. When the pressure in the air reservoir reaches the preset upper limit of the switch, the pressure passes through the air cushion top control bolt, causing the pressure control rod to move upward. Under the action of the spring, the moving and stationary contacts at the electrical contact point are quickly disengaged. The power is cut off, the motor stops working, and the vent valve rod is also pressed down, allowing the compressed air in the pipeline to be discharged through the vent valve, thereby reducing the starting load on the motor.

Conversely, when the pressure in the gas storage tank drops below the lower limit, the aforementioned components move in reverse, connecting the circuit and causing the air compressor to start operating again.
