Conga, also known as the Tumbadora, is a high and narrow single-headed drum that originated in Cuba. It is also known as the Conga, which is derived from the African drums made from hollow logs. The Cuban Conga is a hollow drum body, similar to a barrel, and was originally made from rescue barrels. The Conga is used in African-Cuban traditional music and is one of the main instruments in the Rumba music. Congas are now popular in Latin music, including Salsa, Merengue, and Reggae music, and often appear in various popular music.
