T-square, also known as a T-shaped ruler, is a straight ruler with a cross bar at one end in the shape of a "T". It is composed of a perpendicular ruler head and ruler body, and is made of transparent glass. It is often used in engineering design to draw drawings with a drawing board. The T-square is a tool for drawing horizontal lines and collaborating with a triangular ruler to draw lines. It can generally be used directly to draw parallel lines or used as a support for a triangular ruler to draw straight lines at various angles to the ruler.
The correct method of using a T-square
(1) The blade of the T-square should be placed on the left side of the drawing board and tightly adhered to the edge, which can be slid up and down for use.
Item 2: Only lines can be drawn on the side of the T-square, and horizontal lines must be drawn from left to right.
When drawing the same drawing, the head of the T-square shall not slide along the other edges of the drawing board, and it is not allowed to draw perpendicular lines.
(4) Long diagonal lines can be drawn using a T-square.
Long straight parallel lines can also be drawn using a T-square with a adjustable head.
(6) Should maintain the work edge straight, scale clear and accurate, and the connection between the scale head and the scale body is firm.
(7)When placing a T-square, it should be hung to ensure the flatness and straightness of the T-square body.
