Before use, first shake it up and down several times to loosen the dry powder in advance. When you are 3–4 meters away from the fire source, remove the safety pin, hold the nozzle with one hand, aim at the fire source, and press the handle with the thumb of the other hand, and the dry powder will be sprayed out immediately.

When using a fire extinguisher with a spray tube or a pressure-based fire extinguisher, one hand must always press the handle down and not release it, otherwise the spraying will stop. For dry powder fire extinguishers used to extinguish flammable liquids, aim at the base of the flame and spray horizontally. If the liquid fire is flowing, aim at the root of the flame from near to far, perform horizontal and side-to-side sprays, and advance quickly until the flame is completely extinguished.

If combustible liquid burns within the container, the user should aim at the base of the flame and sweep in left and right motions to ensure the dry powder stream covers the entire surface of the container opening. When extinguishing a fire involving combustible liquid in a container, it is important not to direct the nozzle directly at the liquid surface, to prevent the impact force of the spray from causing the combustible liquid to splash out and spread the fire, thereby making extinguishment more difficult.
