Deer skin cloth is made from natural leather with fish oil, which has a fishy taste. After receiving the deer skin cloth, please soak it in warm water or cold water for two or three times before using. When washing, you can add a mild detergent, such as soap or shampoo.
Please do not use hot water or strong alkaline cleaners, as they may affect the lifespan of the suede cloth. Since natural fish oil is not colorless and transparent, the suede cloth will absorb its pigment, and the water will turn yellow during the first two rinses. For export-grade suede cloth, an additional sanding process is added to remove the dense epidermal layer, increasing absorbency, which is inevitable and will result in adhering to skin flakes. However, for suede products without sanding, there will be no skin flakes. During the first two rinses, please massage more to help remove the skin flakes.

The more fish oil is used, the softer the suede cloth becomes, and the stronger the fishy taste of the suede cloth. Softness is the most important indicator of suede cloth.

Removing the fishy taste: Please rinse it several times. When rinsing, you can add a small amount of mildly alkaline cleaning agent, such as soap or shampoo.
