The scientific name of this product is mouton leather towel, also known as deer skin towel. It is made from imported high-quality high-tech biochemical PVA polymer fabric. It is not real animal mouton leather, as it resembles it. Therefore, it is called mouton leather towel. (All mouton leather towels on the market are actually synthetic mouton leather towels)
The suede towels are divided into Grade A and Grade B; all suede towels sold by this store are Grade A first-class products.
Due to the suede towel being made using an artificial foam process, it must be stored in a moisturized state. The following conditions may occur after you receive it; these are normal circumstances.
1. It may have a slight odor after opening. This is because the suede towel needs to be sealed and kept moist for a long time, and it is the smell of the moisturizer—a normal phenomenon. It is recommended that you soak it in clean water for about 10 minutes before first use for cleaning.
2. Minor pits, wrinkles, and creases may occur; these are normal phenomena and will not affect use.
Chammy towel can replace regular towels. It offers a comfortable and smooth touch, with a polished and delicate surface. It does not become fuzzy or balled up over time, has strong durability, excellent absorbency, and a highly effective cleaning effect. It can be used as sports towels, face wipes, bath towels, or pet drying cloths. Suitable for cleaning in automotive, home, IT industries, beauty and hairdressing, makeup, industrial settings, as well as for gifts, giveaways, and promotional items.
Material: Artificial synthetic suede
【Why Do Leather Skin Cloths Have a Fishy Smell and How to Remove It】
The suede cloth is made from natural leather combined with fish oil and aged, and has a dried fish flavor. After receiving the suede cloth, please soak and rinse it twice or three times with warm or cold water before use. A mild alkaline cleaner, such as soap or shampoo, can be added during rinsing.
Please do not use hot water or strongly alkaline cleaners, as this may affect the service life of the suede cloth. Since natural fish oil is not colorless and transparent, the suede cloth will absorb its pigments, causing the water to turn yellow during the first two rinses. For export-grade suede cloths, a skin-removing process will be required to remove their dense outer layer, which increases water absorption and inevitably leads to the accumulation of skin flakes. Suede products without this skin-removing process will not have skin flakes. During the first two rinses, please rub the cloth more thoroughly to remove the skin flakes.
Regarding the dried fish flavor: Deep-sea fish oil is an essential ingredient in suede production, and it plays a decisive role in the softness of the suede cloth. The more fish oil is used, the softer the suede cloth becomes, and the stronger the dried fish flavor will be. Softness is the most important indicator for suede cloth.
In recent years, due to the depletion of fishery resources and rising prices of fish oil, the cost of fish oil has become an increasingly significant factor in suede production. Under cost pressures, some manufacturers cut corners by using less fish oil. However, this results in hard suede with poor softness, which leads to poor performance during use and severely harms the interests of users.
A qualified suede cloth will definitely have a dried fish flavor. Generally, the stronger the dried fish flavor, the more fish oil is added, and the softer the suede cloth becomes, indicating better quality. If you are sensitive to the dried fish flavor, please consider purchasing carefully.
Removal of dried fish flavor: Please rinse multiple times. During rinsing, you can add an appropriate amount of weakly alkaline cleaner, such as soap or shampoo. After rinsing, hang it in a cool and well-ventilated place to dry, and keep it ventilated for about three days. This will essentially remove the dried fish taste.
This product is crafted from high-quality sheepskin. The sheepskin fiber structure is well-developed, and the fibers are delicate. Sheepskin suede is known for its strong absorption properties. Its greatest feature is that it causes the least damage to objects, making it the best protective material for them.
【Regarding Sika Deer Leather】
Many people know that deer skin is the best material for cleaning cars. In fact, the best one is suede (read as jǐ pí). Suede is the skin of the muntjac animal. It has more surface imperfections, is thicker than sheepskin, and its fiber structure is also denser. It is an excellent material for processing suede leather. Real suede is very rare and expensive; it is usually used to clean highly precise instruments. The muntjac is a small animal, and its skin is also very small—about the size of a 17-inch computer monitor. However, the character “muntjac” is not commonly used, and people usually refer to it as deer skin. Actually, deer skin does not have this car-cleaning function—this is a misconception. The so-called deer or suede skins we see in car wash shops are actually sheepskin. This might make some people feel a bit tricked, but sheepskin is also very expensive, and its water absorption and cleaning ability are top-notch! You can be sure this is definitely good quality leather—it will work perfectly!
【How to identify high-quality suede?】
High-quality suede fabric offers a good feel and large blocks; it is cut from whole suede pieces with uniform thickness and high tensile strength, making it very convenient for cleaning the car—not made from scraps of leather. True suede is ideal for absorbing moisture left after car cleaning, and can be used to wipe away dust inside the vehicle. Additionally, suede contains no chemical harmful components, so no marks or scratches remain after cleaning windows and mirrors. The soft, natural nature of sheepskin suede leaves no cuts, marks, or scratches on the car surface, enhancing your beloved vehicle’s elegance and luxury in a unique way.
[Why does suede have a dried fish taste?]
All of our suede is sourced through legitimate channels; all products are export goods for foreign trade, and strict quality standards are applied. The suede material is made from Australian sheepskin, tanned with deep-sea cod oil, which results in a fishy flavor but causes no harm to the body. This product contains no chemical components at all.
【Product Features】
1. Nowadays, suede cloth has replaced ordinary towels and become the new favorite for car owners to clean their vehicles. Many professional car washing shops also equip themselves with large pieces of suede cloth as specialized tools for vehicle cleaning. The car body and window glass cleaned with suede cloth dry quickly, without leaving water marks, and unlike towels, they do not scratch the vehicle or leave lint and debris that are difficult to remove.
2. The suede surface is soft, and its water absorption is 8–10 times stronger than that of ordinary towels, allowing for thorough cleaning of moisture from items.
【Uses of suede】
Long ago, suede became the first choice for professional cleaning. It is mainly used to wipe precision instruments and lenses. Today, suede is widely used in car cleaning, taking advantage of its softness, excellent absorbency, quick drying after use, and no water marks left. More importantly, it will never damage any object being cleaned—even instrument lenses, let alone cars! Additionally, with the improvement in living standards, suede is also commonly used for wiping computers, screens, cameras, glass doors and windows, etc.
【Usage Instructions】
1. When cleaning the car, ensure the suede remains wet; it should not be dried. Before using the suede, soak it in water, then wring it out and use it for cleaning. After use, wash it clean and dry it until it is dry. Once the suede dries out, it becomes hard. The new suede you receive is soft, but becomes hard after being exposed to water. There may be slight shedding of hair during the first few uses, but this disappears after several uses.
2. Leather fabric has the characteristics of minimal and thorough water absorption. For those who prefer to maintain their car themselves, it is recommended to use a superfine fiber towel to wipe off any water droplets after washing the car thoroughly, followed by using leather fabric to clean the windows and then the car paint (clean areas before dirty ones). It is suggested that leather fabric is used in combination with superfine fiber towels: for example, the dashboard and other interior surfaces are cleaned with superfine fiber towels, while leather fabric is better suited for cleaning windows, mirrors, and car paint—areas where towels cannot clean effectively.
