10CM Magnetic Stainless Steel Ashtray
Two Common Misunderstandings about Stainless Steel
1. As long as it is stainless steel, it will not rust.
In fact, corrosion resistance of stainless steel is relative. Any stainless steel will rust under any environment, but the corrosion resistance of different grades of stainless steel varies greatly. For example, the corrosion resistance of 316 stainless steel is much greater than that of ferritic stainless steel (also known as stainless iron) and even electroplated products. The so-called high-quality stainless steel usually refers to austenitic stainless steel with nickel content greater than 8%, which is also known as corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
2. Magnetic stainless steel is good stainless steel.
Good stainless steel has small magnetic properties, but stainless steel with small magnetic properties is not necessarily good stainless steel. For example, domestic 200 series stainless steel (201, 202) has almost no magnetic properties, but its corrosion resistance is far inferior to 300 series stainless steel (304, 321, 316), which is usually only used in situations whereFor use in a low-altitude indoor environment
