Luminescence Principle
The chemicals in glow sticks are mainly composed of three substances:PeroxideEsters andFluorescent DyeIn simple terms, the principle of fluorescent sticks emitting light is the reaction between peroxides and ester compounds, which transfers the energy to the fluorescent dye, and then the dye emits fluorescence. Currently, the common fluorescent sticks in the market usually contain a glass tube layer, which isolates the peroxides and ester compounds from each other. After rubbing, the reaction of the two compounds causes the fluorescent dye to glow.
Usage Method
Fluorescent sticks are composed of two parts: plastic tubes filled with different liquids and glass tubes. When using the fluorescent sticks, gently bend them, break the glass tube in the plastic tube, and shake gently to allow the two liquids to fully mix, achieving the best light-emitting effect.
