Neodymium-Iron Boron Magnets: Neodymium-Iron Boron magnets are currently the highest-performing magnets commercially available, known as the "magnet king," with extremely high magnetic properties. Their maximum energy product (BHmax) is more than 10 times that of ferrite magnets. Therefore, they are also commonly known as "high-intensity magnets," "magnetic steel," etc. Their mechanical processing properties are also quite good. The working temperature can reach up to 200 degrees Celsius. Moreover, they are hard and have stable performance, making them very cost-effective. Therefore, their applications are extremely wide. However, due to their strong chemical activity, surface treatment is necessary.

   Nd2Fe14B-based permanent magnet materials are based on intermetallic compounds. Compared to casting Al-Ni-Co permanent magnet materials and ferrite permanent magnet materials, Nd2Fe14B has extremely high magnetic energy product and coercivity, capable of attracting a weight 640 times that of itself. The advantage of high energy density makes Nd2Fe14B permanent magnet materials widely used in modern industry and electronic technology, making it possible for the miniaturization, lightweight, and thinning of instruments, instrumentation, electrotechnical motors, magnetic separation, and magneticization equipment. The advantages of Nd2Fe14B are high performance-price ratio, good mechanical properties, and easy to machine; however, its drawbacks include low Curie temperature, poor temperature characteristics, and easy to powder and corrosion, which must be improved by adjusting its chemical composition and adopting surface treatment methods to meet the requirements of practical applications.
 The manufacture of neodymium iron boron uses the powder metallurgy process. It involves melting a mixture of raw materials, such as neodymium, dysprosium, iron, cobalt, niobium, praseodymium, aluminum, copper, and boron iron, in an intermediate frequency induction melting furnace to form alloy steel ingots. These ingots are then crushed to form powder with a particle size of 3 to 5 micrometers. The powder is pressed into shape in a magnetic field to form green bodies. These green bodies are then sintered to density in a vacuum sintering furnace and annealed to achieve the desired magnetic properties. After grinding, drilling, and slicing, the green bodies undergo surface treatment to produce the finished neodymium iron boron products required by the customer.
