How to wear a full-body seatbelt correctly
Step 1: Check the seat belt
Hold the D-ring on the back padding of the seat belt to ensure the webbing is not twisted together.
Step 2: Begin wearing the seat belt
WillSafetywithSlide over the arm to the shoulders. Ensure all straps are free of tangles and hang freely. The shoulder straps must remain vertical, not close to the body's center.
Step 3: Leg Strap
Secure the leg straps and connect them to the buckles on the webbing along the sides of the hips. Pass the excess length of the webbing through the adjustment ring.
Step 4: Chest Straps
The chest strap is connected together using a snap fastener. The chest strap must be positioned 15 centimeters below the shoulder. The excess length of the strap should be inserted into the adjustment ring.
Step 5: Adjust the seat belt
Shoulder: Adjust the straps across the entire body starting from the shoulders, ensuring that the height of the leg straps is exactly below the hips, and the D-shaped ring on the back is located between the two shoulder blades.
Legs: Then adjust the leg straps, try standing on one leg forward and in a half-squat position, ensuring the lengths of the straps on both legs are equal.
Chest: The chest straps should be crossed at the middle of the chest, and approximately 3 hands' width away from the base of the sternum.
A properly worn and adjusted full-body seat belt can effectively distribute the impact force across the entire body, providing certain suspension support and rescue capabilities in case of falling.
