The difference between polyester and nylon:

1. Nylon: The longitudinal surface of nylon is smooth and straight, and its cross-section is round. Nylon has high strength, large stretch, excellent elasticity, and good wear resistance, ranking first among all fibers. Its wear resistance is 10 times that of cotton fiber, 10 times that of dry viscose fiber, and 140 times that of wet fiber. Therefore, its wear resistance is excellent. Nylon has good moisture absorption, and the moisture recovery rate reaches about 4.5% under general atmospheric conditions. The dyeing of nylon is also relatively good, which can be dyed with acid dyes, dispersion dyes, and other dyes. Its light resistance and heat resistance are also very strong. In addition, nylon is resistant to corrosion, not afraid of mold, and not afraid of insect damage.

Polyester: has a lower wear resistance than nylon, lower moisture absorption, good water absorption, high strength. It has a good light resistance, second only to acryl. It is resistant to corrosion and dilute alkalis, but it is not afraid of mold. However, hot alkalis can decompose it. Polyester has a strong sense of imitation silk, bright luster, but it is not soft enough, with a flash effect, smooth and flat hand feeling, good elasticity. After holding the silk surface tightly and releasing it, there is no obvious crease. Polyester fabrics have poor moisture absorption, causing a feeling of heat and sweat, and are prone to static electricity and dust contamination, affecting beauty and comfort.
